Health & Safety Manager – *****
Health & Safety Manager required to join one of Ireland's largest Tier 1 Main Contractors to work on a Data Centre project in Finland.
The successful candidate will report to the Health & Safety Lead for the project.
Responsibilities
Compliance & Safety Management
: Ensure adherence to Safety Management systems, project execution plans, and relevant EHS regulations.
Oversee method statements, risk assessments, C.O.S.H.H assessments, and permits.
Monitoring & Auditing
: Conduct site audits, monitor contractors and subcontractors for compliance with project and client EHS requirements, and follow up on corrective actions.
Reporting & Communication
: Perform H&S reporting, analyse metrics, and keep senior management informed.
Represent the project in Client H&S meetings and inspections, ensuring timely closure of actions.
Training & Induction
: Coordinate and manage EHS training and site inductions.
Ensure proper use and availability of PPE across the project.
Incident Management
: Assist in accident investigations, ensure timely reporting, and oversee corrective and preventive action closure.
Proactive Safety Promotion
: Collaborate with site teams to promote a strong safety culture and adopt proactive EHS practices across all activities.
Requirements
5+ years' experience in a similar role.
A relevant Health & Safety qualification.
Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external clients.
Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
IT Skills – Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
