We are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected client for a Catering Supervisor role at an establishment with high operational standards in South Dublin.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Catering Supervisor to join a high-performing hospitality team. Reporting directly to the Catering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, leading both catering and bar teams, and ensuring the delivery of first-class service to all guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Report directly to the Catering Manager.
* Lead the catering and bar teams, overseeing daily operations within the catering department.
* Develop and implement training plans to support staff development.
* Coordinate with the Kitchen and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Contribute to menu planning, event development, and operational improvements.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP system).
* Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to optimise efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
* Strong background in hospitality, ideally within a similar high-standard environment.
* Proven experience in a management role within the catering and hospitality industry.
* Ability to manage and lead teams of 10 or more staff members.
* Expertise in training, scheduling, and performance development.
* Familiarity with rostering and payroll systems.
* Knowledge of procurement, supplier management, and audits.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally extended hours.
* Must have a valid work permit and relevant documentation.
