Senior Technical Manager
About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced technical professional to lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production lines, maximising equipment effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
* Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and support to technical personnel, develop their skills through training and coaching, and maintain accurate records of time and production.
* Equipment Effectiveness: Work closely with the technical team to ensure that production targets are met by effectively coordinating resources to maximise equipment availability and performance.
* Problem Solving: Apply structured problem-solving techniques to address issues and improve quality or output across multiple process areas.
* Communication: Communicate effectively with senior leadership on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative measures.
* Maintenance and Quality: Lead on maintenance and process/equipment issues across multiple process areas, conduct performance excellence assessments, and develop plans to foster ongoing improvement.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure conformance with relevant policies and procedures, contribute to the creation of work instructions and operations procedures to maintain compliance.
Requirements
* Qualifications: NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Experience: 4+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Leadership Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing a team.
* Skills: Strong multitasking ability, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
