Fantastic opportunity to take a lead design role on technically unique marine infrastructure projects in Ireland
Senior Design Engineer required to join a specialist Marine & Civil Engineering Consultancy in Ireland.
This is an office-based role working on the design of complex marine and coastal structures including quay walls, piers, retaining walls and coastal protection works.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structural or applied structures design, ideally with exposure to marine or heavy civil works.
Sample Projects: Quay wall and pier infrastructure upgrades values €10M€100M+ Major port expansion works and marine civil structures Coastal protection and defence schemes around Ireland Structural strengthening and refurbishment of existing marine assets Requirements: Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
510+ years post-graduate experience in structural or marine infrastructure design.
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards Chartered).
Strong structural design and analysis skills concrete, steel and piling.
Experience in Eurocodes and relevant Irish design standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design and mentor junior staff.
Proficiency in CAD / BIM and structural analysis software (e.g. STAAD, Plaxis).
Salary / Benefits: Excellent salary circa €50K€70K+ (DOE) plus benefits.
