Care Worker - Aughamore Day Centre, Sligo The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their Carers. The ASI is currently recruiting for a relief Day Care Worker, who will work in our Aughamore Day Care, Lakeview Business Park, Aughamore, Carraroe, Sligo, F91XW54. This is a permanent contract working 28 hours per week. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Care Worker is responsible for providing person centred care to people with dementia, addressing their needs and enhancing their quality of life. To be successful in this role you will need experience of working with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. FETAC level 5 qualification is desirable but not essential. You will need good communication and organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Salary will be commensurate with the care sector, and dependent on relevant experience.
