We are seeking a passionate chef to join our team in a support and development role. The role is based in the Mayo & Sligo but will support other sites as needed, from Galway to Sligo. The role of Support Chef will offer cover to Aramark Healthcare and B&I West sites as required.

As a Support Chef within our company, you will work with exceptional teams delivering restaurant and patient feeding services in hospitals, nursing homes and factories across Mayo and Sligo. You will be part of a team led by our two Development Chefs in the region.

What we are looking for from you
To support various units as needed, offering cover for absences and working with the development team to drive continuous improvement.
Be a champion of our food offering across the regions, delivering food services for patient feeding and the restaurant.
To follow the Catering Hygiene Policy guidelines and Aramark's dress code policy, always maintaining a clean uniform and hygienic appearance.
Supporting the Head Chef in the training and development of Commis Chefs and aiding other kitchen staff as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Follow HACCP guidelines and ensure all necessary information is recorded accurately and efficiently.
Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed, use the FIFO rule.
Co-operate fully and participate with/in all health and safety training programs.
Comply with and adhere to all Aramark & Hospital policies and procedures.
Have requisite working experience and culinary expertise to be creative.
Ability to multi‑task and handle multiple roles as required, with a good understanding of all sections of the kitchen.
Have good organisational skills and work consistently with attention to detail.

You must have
A passion for food and people.

Knowledge of Food Hygiene, including HACCP.
