Job Title: Cell Production Lead
This role involves overseeing the efficient production of company manufactured products within a designated cell.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacturing high-quality batches in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to include filling, capping, and sealing as required.
* Maintaining equipment through regular preventative maintenance, calibration, and checks in accordance with schedules.
* Contributing to lean initiatives such as 6S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean to optimize processes and reduce waste.
* Ensuring proper waste management within the cell by adhering to correct storage and disposal procedures.
* Communicating effectively with team members regarding material requirements.
* Fostering a safe working environment by complying with all health and safety standards and maintaining housekeeping standards within the cell.
* Troubleshooting production issues and collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure Quality Control (QC) and planning meet demand requirements within allocated timeframes.
* Identifying and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and capacity.
* Training and mentoring production operators and technicians within the cell to achieve targets and deadlines.
* Supporting upskilling and cross-training initiatives as needed and contributing to cross-functional teams.
* Completing training and upskilling programs to enhance professional development.
* Managing the Work Compass Platform and Time Management System for the cell.
* Leading daily Performance Issues and Target meetings for the cell and contributing to the wider daily production PIT meeting.
* Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Holding a 3rd-level science qualification in chemistry or a relevant discipline or minimum ordinary level degree.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
* Excellent knowledge and experience of batch chemical manufacturing, ISO17025, ISO9001:2009, Good Laboratory Practice, and chemistry.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and cross-functional team.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
