Cleaner – Job Description
As part of the wider facilities team, the Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times. They must ensure that minimum cleanliness and hygiene standards are met and consistently adhered to. The Cleaner should proactively identify any issues that arise and continually monitor their work area to prevent any such occurrences.
The Cleaner will report to the Operations Manager.
This position requires flexibility, including working rostered shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all toilet facilities throughout the Folk Park.
2. Replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) as needed within the toilet facilities.
3. Check the Education Suite daily and clean it if used.
4. Regularly inspect public areas for litter and remove papers or rubbish as necessary.
5. Develop and follow a work plan that combines deep cleaning with daily upkeep.
6. Ensure that toilet facilities in the Corn Barn are clean on days when evening entertainment is scheduled.
7. Safely store, handle, and use cleaning chemicals in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
