The Mercantile Hotel has officially opened its doors in the heart of Dublin City and we’re growing our Front Office team. We’re looking for a welcoming, professional, and service-driven Receptionist to join us as we continue to build a reputation for warm hospitality and excellent guest experiences. This is a brilliant opportunity to join one of the city’s newest hotel teams and help shape a high quality, people first culture right at reception where every guest journey begins.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome all guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a great first impression.
* Manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently while ensuring all guest needs are met.
* Provide helpful information on hotel services, local attractions, and events in the area.
* Answer incoming calls, emails, and in-person queries in a prompt and courteous manner.
* Handle guest feedback with care and professionalism, working with management to resolve any issues.
* Work closely with the Reservations Manager to support room allocations and group bookings.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe reception area, following health and safety standards.
* Carry out administrative duties including billing, cash handling, and credit card transactions, following company policies.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role, ideally in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
* A friendly and approachable personality with a genuine passion for guest service.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with hotel booking systems or property management systems (PMS) is a plus.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
