Senior Resident Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the wastewater network improvements project, you will be responsible for providing supervision and management on a programme of work to deliver new and upgrade wastewater network improvements in the Baile na nGall area in Waterford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann, with a particular focus on health & safety, the time for delivery, cost management, and ensuring that the project is constructed to the specified quality standard.
* Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements).
* Monitor and report on works being carried out to the Employer's Requirements.
* Implement Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on the construction projects.
* Review and comment on project/site specific HSQE documentation, e.g. RAMS, TMP etc.
* Carry out weekly documented health and safety site reviews, follow up and confirm satisfactory close out of health and safety issues.
* Report any accident or incident on site, no matter how minor, to Uisce Éireann and assist with the accident investigation and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Requirements:
* At least 10 years' experience in on-site supervision, contract administration and project management of civil engineering works, to include water or wastewater projects.
* A degree in a related discipline, such as Civil Engineering.
* Capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
* Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts, experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract would be advantageous, but not essential.
* A current and valid SafePass card is essential, Confined Spaces training would be desirable.
