Senior Power BI Developer (Contract – 6 Months)

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with extensive experience in semantic model design, report design, performance optimisation, deployment best practices, and Power BI Service administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and optimise Power BI semantic models to support enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
* Enhance report performance through model tuning, efficient DAX, and dataset optimisation.
* Develop and implement deployment and refresh strategies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with best practices.
* Leverage Power BI Service capabilities including workspace management, dataflows, security, governance, and usage monitoring.
* Explore and implement Power Platform integrations (Power Automate, Power Apps) to enhance automation and interactivity.
* Create impactful, user-friendly dashboards and reports that communicate insights clearly and effectively.
* Develop and maintain paginated reports where required (experience with Power BI Report Builder or SSRS a strong plus).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service – including embedded Power BI solutions.
* 7+ years' experience in BI development, including significant Power BI project delivery.
* Experience working in a cloud data environment e.g., Azure, Snowflake
* Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
* A Power BI champion who is passionate about enabling a data-driven culture.
