The successful candidate will be based in our Dublin office and work in a structural team within a multidisciplinary office on varied projects.
Our current workload includes Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Leisure, Industrial, Housing and Education sectors for public and private clients.
The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Act as a Structural Engineer as part of Multidiscipline Design Teams.
Design input and contribution to the delivery of all Structural aspects of projects.
Prepare clear and concise project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage) with the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
Communicate design intent via PowerPoint presentations.
Communicate with internal and external parties via email.
Oversee preparation of design drawings.
Prepare design calculations for internal and external review.
Undertake duties of the Ancillary Certifier for the C&S discipline.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications
Member of Engineers Ireland and actively working towards Chartership.
Good communication skills and ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
Experience in delivery of Structural Engineering Design to Eurocodes.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Experience using structural design software (Robot and Tekla Structural Designer would be advantageous).
Experience acting as Project C&S engineer on multi-discipline projects (in-person client meetings and coordination with design team members).
