The Maintenance Supervisor at PepsiCo's Carrigaline facility will be responsible for executing the site's preventive and predictive maintenance program, troubleshooting technical issues on the floor, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring maintenance work is planned, scheduled, and completed safely and to appropriate standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting production uptime, asset care, audit readiness, and maintenance excellence across the site.
You will report to the Site Maintenance Lead and work closely with Automation, Safety, Quality, and Operations teams.
For the purposes of external advertising we have called this role Maintenance Supervisor. However please note that the internal job title the successful candidate will be Prod Equip Repair & Maint Leader.
Maintenance Execution & Reliability
Lead daily maintenance activities to ensure safe, effective, and timely execution of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work.
Plan, schedule, and release maintenance work orders using the site's CMMS (SAP), ensuring high PM compliance and maintenance readiness.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control‑related issues, supporting production in real time.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and develop downtime‑reduction action plans.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, labour hours, and failure codes within SAP.People Leadership & Team Development
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians.
Build a high‑performance team culture focused on reliability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Lead daily tier meetings, communicate priorities, and ensure team workload is balanced and aligned with site needs.
Support training, competency development, and performance reviews.Safety & Compliance
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure strict adherence to LOTO, Permit‑to‑Work, Risk Assessment, and contractor management processes.
Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA/EHS, PGCS, and internal safety standards.
Maintain all maintenance areas in an orderly, audit‑ready condition.
Support plant audits (AIBI, HSA, FM Global, internal GEHSMS).Continuous Improvement
Identify improvement opportunities in equipment reliability, maintenance methods, and asset care.
Implement best practices from within PepsiCo's global network.Support implementation of new equipment and ensure smooth start‑up and integration into site maintenance systems.
Required
Technical qualification in Engineering or Maintenance discipline (Engineering degree preferred).
3-5 years experience in maintenance supervision or senior maintenance/engineering roles.
Strong experience with CMMS systems (SAP highly desirable).
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting.
Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity environment
Strong organisational capability: able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Proven track record in safety leadership.Preferred
Experience in highly automated or process‑intensive manufacturing.
Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and automation systems (awareness level acceptable; deeper skills an advantage).
Knowledge of TPM, predictive maintenance, and reliability methodologies.
Experience managing contractors and vendor relationships
