A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join our well-established accounts department at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort.
The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain efficient and accurate accounting functions.
The Financial Controller will report directly to the General Manager and Group Director of Finance, leading the day-to-day operations of the hotel finance function. Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing the day-to-day accounting and a small Finance team
2. Overseeing daily accounting processes
3. Weekly and monthly forecasting and budgeting
4. Financial analysis and reporting
5. Preparing monthly Profit & Loss accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
6. Preparing annual accounts and liaising with auditors
7. Controlling costs and payroll in line with the budget
Key requirements and skills:
* Experience as a Financial Controller or Assistant Financial Controller/Hotel Accountant in the hospitality industry
* Industry experience is essential
* Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software
* Experience with hotel PMS systems (Hotsoft), accounting systems (Sun), and Alkimii is beneficial but not essential
* Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (verbal and written)
* Analytical and critical thinking skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
