Plant Operations Manager
* The Plant Operations Manager oversees the entire plant fleet, encompassing acquisition, deployment, maintenance, inspection, repair, and disposal.
* This role involves ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations related to plant operations.
* The successful candidate will work closely with site managers and project managers to plan plant requirements, monitor utilisation rates, and optimise equipment allocation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preventive Maintenance Schedules: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise reliability.
* Hire and Subcontract Management: Managing plant hire and subcontract relationships, reviewing tenders, negotiating rates, ensuring equipment delivery dates, and tracking return/hand-off conditions.
* Team Leadership: Leading, developing, and supervising the plant team, including training, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records, including plant asset registers, maintenance records, inspection logs, breakdown reports, utilisation statistics, and reporting key metrics to senior management.
* Continuous Improvement: Driving continuous improvement in plant operations, identifying opportunities for modernisation, ensuring best-practice adoption, and rollout across sites.
