We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the scoping, management, and delivery of capital projects valued up to €10m. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects across new buildings, utilities, facilities, and equipment introductions within warehousing and manufacturing environments.
The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision, managing projects from inception through to completion while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end project execution including planning, scoping, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments and external partners to define project requirements and ensure expectations are met.
* Prepare and review engineering specifications, bid documents, and service contracts.
* Lead design (where applicable), procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment, utilities, and construction projects.
* Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP, and industry standards.
* Drive problem-solving and troubleshooting for new equipment prior to qualification and start-up.
* Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including managing contingent workers and third-party contractors.
* Implement robust safety and quality controls, embedding best practices into all project phases.
* Present updates and seek approvals from senior leadership as required.
* Support investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure all projects are executed in line with safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
* 5+ years’ project management/engineering experience, ideally within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or aseptic manufacturing sectors.
* Demonstrated success delivering projects from concept through to handover.
* Strong technical knowledge of construction and/or process equipment specification and qualification.
* Experience working in GDP/GMP-regulated environments.
* Proven ability to work cross-functionally and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong data-driven decision-making and technical reporting skills.
* Mechanical/technical background in high-volume manufacturing is advantageous.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
