Finance Assistant - Horse Racing Ireland, Various | -Full-Time / Permanent

Overall Purpose of the Role
Finance Administrator role to support the Location Accountant / Finance Business Partner in supporting the on-site Team, in understanding their financial performance, assist in driving performance and monitor and control change initiatives.

Finance Assistant - The Role
Completion of spend per head data and analysis against other venues
Assist in P&L reporting
Analysis of Financial Performance – completion of Client Analysis Document
Updating and collection of most recent data for Forecasting
Assist in the issue of shopping baskets for Op's Team and working closely with the on-site team to analyse weekly performances
Completion of client billing and detailed analysis around "Other Income" Sales
Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests.
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
Enter invoices into accounting or ERP systems.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments or discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant laws.

High numeric and analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically
Pro-active approach
Ability to analyse and evaluate information
Excellent inter personal skills with proven ability to influence internal and external parties
Self motivated with an ability to effectively plan and organise own work
Ability to take on a broad spectrum of work under pressure and to deliver in agreed timescales
Previous operational experience
Self motivated and ability to adapt to a changing environment
Flexibility to travel for event support
