Since first opening our doors in 2005, Autism Initiatives Ireland has provided specialist autism services for adults across our Residential, Respite, Day, and Community Support Services. Our vision is that through supportive action people with autism can learn, develop and be enabled to have a sense of ownership over their own lives. Our aim is to work alongside autistic people, their families and carers in providing specialist individually tailored services for all to thrive from. We have expanded our services throughout Dublin, Kildare, Wexford and Wicklow and continue to seek opportunities to offer assistance and value.
We are recruiting for individuals who are committed to going the extra mile and who can help the people we support live independently, enjoy a better quality of life, and engage more actively in their communities. The successful candidate will receive training and development in line with the role, including a detailed induction before joining the service.
Responsibilities
The Team Leader will:
* Coordinate and manage developing services and lead a team of employees.
* Implement and develop support and care plans (PCP) and ensure delivery of supports according to the person’s PCP and care plan.
* Place the needs of the person supported at the center of all activities and work with a focus on independence and quality of life.
* Work on own initiative and in a team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Skills/Abilities required
* Three years management experience with responsibility for a team of employees.
* Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector.
* Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism.
* Proven ability to work on own initiative and coordinate developing services.
* Fluent English and excellent communication skills.

Schedule
Staff are required to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts.
