The key objectives are to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and enhance the comfort and sustainability of citizens across the South East.What you will be doingSEEA is working with on various EU and nations research & development projects, with a wide range of stakeholders in the public, private & community sectors.The role of the EU Project Officer will be to deliver a number of EU and R&D projects of similar nature, focusing on day-to-day operations to achieve deliverables within budget and timelines. The key objectives are to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and enhance the comfort and sustainability of citizens across the South East.As an EU Project Officer, you will be responsible for:Project ImplementationOversee day to day execution of EU funded projects, ensuring compliance with work programs, budgets, and contractual obligations with the European CommissionDeliver and track all tasks and deliverables on an EU ProjectMonitor the overall progress regarding milestones and deliverables within the projects.Plan, prepare and submit all required reports and project documentation to the relevant authorities and partnersProactively disseminate project learnings and results through internal channels, professional networks, and, in liaison with communications teams, external media, social media, and newslettersAttend and represent the organisation at project steering committees and working group meetings, including regular travel within EuropeAssist with project administration, including managing procurement processes for service providers and maintaining project filesHelp establish and implement effective monitoring procedures to track project activities, assess progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ensure project deliverables are metIdentify of any unanticipated risks and assisting with the preparation of the technical, interim and final reportsMaintaining and providing monthly reports to EU Team Lead on the status of individual project work packages and tasksEnsure the timely submission of financial and technical reports to First Level Controller (FLC) or relevant body for EU claims, by working with the EU Project officers and EU Finance officerCreating and maintaining project-specific documentation during and on completion of a project to ensure compliance with SEEA company policies and procedures or other governing bodiesStakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal and external project partners, stakeholders, and associated organisationsLiaise and collaborate with EU project partners, Work-Package-Lead, Project Lead Partner, national FLC and all other relevant stakeholders for successful delivery of EU projectsLiaise with internal and external stakeholders across all sectors relevant to SEEA's workCollaborate with the SEEA Support Office, Communications and Marketing Team, and Technical TeamFoster and maintain team spirit within the EU Team and develop and maintain strong working relationships with all EU Project partners.Quality and ComplianceAdhere to the company's Quality Management System requirements, including performing work according to process documents, procedures, and maintaining necessary recordsUnderstand and apply quality and environmental policy statements in all aspects of workEnsure that the needs and requirements of the company's customers are understood and deliveredEnhance the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates, and improvement ideasAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform additional duties as assigned by the CEO/SMT, depending on the organization's workloadContribute to achieving the company's objectivesThe Ideal CandidateEach Candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms for the position have:A minimum of Level 8 Degree on the National Framework for Qualifications (or equivalent)Minimum 2-years of experience in the delivery of EU Projects and/ or national funded R&D projectsDemonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, particularly public sector and Local AuthoritiesExperience with Policy research and developmentExcellent communication skills for developing outreach materials and delivering presentationsDocumented and demonstrable experience within energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, carbon products, or green technology areasAbility to cope with tight deadlines and work effectively within a dynamic and diverse team, many of whom may work remotelyAbility to network and build relationships with relevant stakeholders, partners and membersCommitment to see projects through to completion within agreed deadlinesMust be able to travel within Ireland and Europe for Partner meetingsHow to Apply?Please complete the Application Form available on and return to Joanne Brennan at with a subject line 'EU Project Officer" telling us more about yourself, your experience/ambitions.
