Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operational running of the hospital's night duty services.
This role requires effective management and leadership skills to maintain high standards of patient care while driving cost-effectiveness and efficiency across all areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead senior nurse management teams in analysing and directing patient flow, as well as allocating staffing resources strategically.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing strategies, supporting staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
* Provide innovative and effective leadership to nursing and allied staff, promoting excellence in practice.
* Evaluate and optimise patient pathways, enhancing the overall patient experience.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective service plans.
Requirements
* Minimum 7 years of post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting, including at least 3 years of recent experience at a CNM2 level.
* Successful completion of a post-registration programme verifying a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award.
* Ongoing professional development and commitment to completing a postgraduate programme.
