Electrical Engineer Consultant providing technical electrical design support for a new Process Area CAPEX project at Regeneron's Raheen site. The role also supports small capital projects and ongoing site operations within a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide design and maintenance support for LV systems including lighting, general services, UPS, protection settings, and arc flash studies.
* Design and support ELV systems including fire alarm, data points, and building automation systems.
* Manage and deliver small electrical infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
* Support design reviews, site acceptance testing, and installation of electrical equipment.
* Prepare, update, and maintain electrical drawings and associated technical documentation.
* Design and specify cGMP-compliant electrical, instrumentation, and process control systems.
* Manage and support electrical systems connected to the business IT network.
* Support the validation function through preparation of design documentation and assistance with protocol execution.
* Investigate electrical equipment and control system anomalies, including power quality events.
* Prepare engineering assessments and execute modification and change control documentation.
* Supervise electrical contractors and ensure works are completed to the required quality and safety standards.
* Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and manage all electrical health and safety requirements on site.
* Maintain a safe, clean working environment by enforcing site procedures, policies, and regulations.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain company standards and reputation.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
* Strong knowledge of LV and ELV electrical systems and associated standards.
* Experience working in cGMP environments and supporting CAPEX projects.
* Familiarity with validation processes, change control, and regulated documentation practices.
* Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate site-based electrical activities.
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
