About the Role
Financefair is searching for a skilled product-focused Frontend Developer to help us build clean, intuitive, and performant web applications. You'll play a key role in shaping how our users interact with the platform, collaborating closely with product, designers, and backend engineers to deliver interfaces that are modern, scalable, and user-friendly.
This position is hands-on, and ideal for someone who enjoys working with both established technologies and modern frameworks to deliver real impact. You'll join a pragmatic, friendly engineering team working closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design, build, and ship quality features; with a lot of autonomy and a focus on delivering real value.
This role reports to the Head of Engineering. It offers a strong career path within a fast-scaling fintech, where you'll gain hands-on experience and sharpen your skills.
What You'll Do
* Develop and maintain front-end features using
HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
.
* Build responsive, high-performing applications with
React
.
* Work with product and design teams to translate concepts into engaging user experiences.
* Ensure
cross-browser
compatibility and
mobile responsiveness
.
* Integrate APIs and backend services seamlessly into the UI.
* Use
Git
for version control and collaborative workflows.
* Follow best practices in
accessibility
and
performance optimisation
.
What We're Looking For
* Proficiency in
HTML/HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
.
* Hands-on experience with
React
.
* Strong experience with
Git
for source control.
* Participate in agile ceremonies and work closely with product and QA
* Monitor and optimise application performance and reliability
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in production.
* Someone who wants to shape solutions to a shared product problem.
Bonus Points If You Have
* Familiarity with
Tailwind CSS
and
Shadcn
for fast, modern UI development.
* Exposure to
Vite
.
* A good design eye or prior
UI/UX experience
.
* Experience with
Recharts
for data visualisation.
* Advanced CSS/SCSS skills for animations and complex layouts.
* Background in financial software.
