Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their Senior Business Analyst (Faster payments & GPP) OR (AML OR Financial crime).Experience required :Senior Business Analyst (Faster payments & GPP):Requirements & Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and document business needs, converting them into clear functional/technical specifications, user stories, and process flows (flowcharts, diagrams).Data & Reporting: Conduct deep data analysis, modeling, and market research to identify trends, bottlenecks, opportunities, and present findings through dashboards and reports for leadership.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, management, and cross-functional teams to gather feedback, build consensus, and communicate project scope and progress.Solution Design & Implementation: Propose and design process improvements, new systems, or technology solutions; oversee implementation, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and ensure solutions meet objectives.Project Support: Assist with project planning, budget tracking, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and monitoring project progress.Change Management: Act as a change agent, helping staff adapt to new systems and processes through training and support, minimizing resistance.Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data modeling skills.Excellent communication (written/verbal), presentation, and facilitation abilities.Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques (workshops, interviews) and documentation.Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).Understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and technology trends.Ability to manage budgets, financial analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.Senior Business Analyst (AML OR Financial crime):Bring a good understanding of the FS Advisory role having worked in similar capacity earlier.Lead advisory engagement constructing business model, cost benefit analysis and business process modelling.Engage business users to capture and document business process models using industry standard frameworks and tools.Translate business requirements into actionable change for fast delivery of technology. Ensure rigour in the process by challenging and validating the business needs to improve the quality of the deliverables.Engage with business users, understand problem statement and agree scope of engagement.Interview product owners to understand as-is business processes and then develop customer-driven to-be processes.Support the Business by documenting process models and identify opportunities for improvement.Ability to map customer experience using tools like personas, customer journeys etc.Gather and analyse statistical data from the business areas for supporting business case for change.Research and analyse best in class industry processes to support digitization & simplification of customer journeys.Support the Business in planning and designing digital strategies encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty.Bring in industry experience and thought leadership to advise on trends, future operating models and best in class journeys.Develop a deep understanding of the business context and marketplace that our business stakeholders are operating in.Employ process modelling techniques to capture requirements.
