Job Description:
At The Mulranny Park Hotel, we're currently seeking a dependable and approachable night porter to join our team.
In this overnight role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel while providing a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for our guests.
Your responsibilities will include responding promptly and professionally to any guest enquiries during the night shift, helping with function set ups, as well as monitoring the hotel's safety and security, and reporting any concerns as they arise.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude and a warm, engaging personality - someone who enjoys making guests feel right at home in our beautiful coastal hotel.
Duties include:
To work closely with reception and carry out any requests that they may have in relation to customer needs.
To ensure all departmental S.O.P's, Hotel Policies & Procedures are adhered to.
Monitoring the main door at night.
To ensure all corridors are clear from trays and debris, collecting any breakfast cards for room service in the morning.
To have working knowledge of computers.
To serve the late bar for residents.
To clean and ensure the lobby and surrounding areas where guests are, are left clean and tidy.
To ensure back of house areas are left clean.
To answer calls on reception where possible.
To write any Health & Safety or maintenance faults in the book at reception.
To be vigilant at all times and report any suspicious security matters or intruders on the premises.
To carry out fire walks during your shift.
To set-up rooms as directed by the Duty Manager or assist other department with preparation for the following day.
To maintain open communication with staff & guests.
To be environmentally friendly and cost aware.
To carry out additional duties as requested by the management team.
