Overview
Job Description: Our client are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for both residential and commercial projects across Ireland.
This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, cost management, and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.
Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project scope and requirements.
Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Monitor and update estimates as project scopes change.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices, trends, and construction techniques.
Provide risk assessments and advise on potential cost impacts.
Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals.
Maintain detailed records of all estimates and project documentation.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on residential and commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and costs in the Irish market.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, Buildsoft, or similar).
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
Full clean driving license and willingness to travel as required.
