The Heritage also offers guests a number of on site activities such as our Health Club with Leisure Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam rooms, 5km Walking Track and Cinema.We are currently looking to hire a Demi chef de Partie to join our existing team.Job Role: Through the consistent delivery of the highest standards, promote a professional and positive image to all of our guests and contribute to the hotel's targetsMain duties:MAIN DUTIES: O To assist in the preparation of food according to recipes and cooking standards.O To train and guide commis chefs/kitchen assistants.O To assist in the set up and organisation of the assigned workstation.O To have a clear understanding of HACCP.O To ensure that hygiene is maintained and promoted in food preparation in accordance with Company Policy and Statutory requirements.
O To ensure that food preparation areas are cleaned prior to use, maintained in a hygienic condition during service and cleaned down afterwards.O To ensure that food preparation is carried out in a hygienic manner with attention paid to the Critical Control points.O To ensure that temperature checks are done on all fridges and freezers daily and results recorded.O To prepare, cook and present all dishes within area of responsibility to the correct menu specification with regard to quality and quantity.
O To ensure that any problems with food quality are identified and dealt with or reported promptly to the appropriate person.O To store any food that is not for immediate consumption in the correct manner at a safe temperature according to current food hygiene legislation.
O To ensure that all food items are stored under the correct conditions according to food type.
O To maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene at all times.
O Correct uniform and safety shoes must be worn at all times (Name badges must ONLY be worn when chefs are dealing with customers directly e.g.
function room).O To assist in the implementation of a profitable and cost effective stock taking system.O To ensure all purchases and deliveries of fresh produce/dry goods are of the highest standard.O Secure and record lost and found property, following the correct procedure.O Note and report maintenance needed to your supervisor or manager.O When dealing with cash, you must always carry out the correct cash handling procedures, as set out by the hotel.
O To participate in all training programmes scheduled for you.O Be fully familiar with all Personnel policies and procedures as set out in the Company Staff Handbook and to abide by these at all times.O To familiarise yourself with your departmental SOP (Standards of Procedure Manual) which is available from the Head Chef.HEALTH & SAFETY O To fulfil your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and any revisions or additional legislation made thereto.O To ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the premises.O To keep work area tidy and safe and report any hazard, loss or damage to management.O To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of first aid box.O To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Safety Statement.O To carry out and promote fire and accident/other safety drills as directed by the hotel safety officer.O To participate in all Health and Safety training scheduled for you.O To inform Management immediately in the event that you are personally involved in any accident or incident on the hotel grounds or if you are witness to an accident or incident involving a third party.The Heritage 'Core Values':Our Core Values are the essence of what we stand for as a company and it is our vision to instill a people focused culture within the hotel.
