St. Joseph's Foundation is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities. Founded in 1968 the Foundation has grown through continuously responding to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The Foundation provides services to children and adults, through day services, residential, respite care, and home support in the North Cork and South West Limerick region. We have day and residential services in various locations in the North Cork and South Limerick area; such as Charleville, Dromina, Newtownshandrum, Buttevant, Newmarket, Mitchelstown and Mallow, in Limerick; Ballylanders, Ballyagran, Bruree, Bruff Croom Dromcollogher, Granagh Kilmallock, and Liskennett.We are currently seeking Home Support Workers Locum to work one-on-one supporting families in their own homes and in the community in the below areas:Mallow Co. CorkEssential Qualifications:QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or a relevant field (Full award) or have completed Care Skills (5N2770) OR Care of the Older Person (5N2706), Personal Effectiveness (5N1390) & Infection Prevention & Control (5N3734)Experience of working with children/adults in the field of intellectual disabilityFull manual driving licence and access to your own transport.A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and helping them maximise their quality of life.Paid training- we pay you while you attend free, high-quality training.20% more annual leavethan the standard entitlement (pro rata basis)Pension contribution- we invest6.35% of every euro you earninto your pension fund.Flexible shiftsto suit your lifestyle and work-life balance.Career development opportunitieswithin a supportive and inclusive team.Responsibilities:To be responsible for general wellbeing of the adult/child while in your care.To implement the adults/child's individual Programme plan/care plan as appropriate.
