Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be working exclusively with a growing FMCG business to appoint a Commercial Finance Analyst to support and strengthen their Commercial Finance function.Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Our client operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is committed to delivering strong commercial performance through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.This is an analytical, development-focused opportunity suited to an individual looking to build experience in commercial finance within a high-performing FMCG setting.The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations, providing accurate and timely financial and commercial insight to support decision making.The Role: Support analysis of sales, volume, revenue and margin performance across customers and products.Assist with pricing, promotions and customer profitability analysis.Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly commercial performance reports.Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and Excel-based analysis tools.Assist with sales forecasting, budgeting and reforecasting processes.Analyse variances versus budget, forecast and prior year, with guidance from senior team members.Partner with commercial and operational teams to support planning, NPD and promotional activity.Ensure accuracy and consistency of commercial data used in reporting.Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analysis processes.The Person: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a genuine interest in commercial finance.Good Excel capability, including formulas, pivot tables and working with large datasets.Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools (academic or commercial experience acceptable).Ability to present information clearly, accurately and confidently.High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.Willingness to learn and develop within a commercial finance environment.Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or a commercial role is desirable but not essential.Qualifications: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.Studying towards a professional accounting qualification is advantageous but not required.The Benefits: Structured exposure to commercial finance and performance reporting.Strong cross-functional experience within a growing FMCG organisation.Support and development from an experienced finance team.Excellent salary package and long-term career progression opportunities.
