Join to apply for the Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) role at Contentful
Contentful is seeking a strategic, platform-minded Senior Product Manager to shape the future of our core platform. The Contentful platform powers everything from the interfaces our customers love to the APIs and frameworks our internal teams integrate with. This role is central to evolving our platform into an AI-ready, composable foundation for modern digital experiences. Enterprises depend on Contentful to deliver consistent, scalable content across brands, regions, and channels. In this role, you’ll partner with engineering, design, research, and go-to-market teams to deeply understand the needs of content creators, marketers, engineers, and other enterprise stakeholders — and translate those into impactful product outcomes.
Responsibilities
Drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Contentful’s core platform services.
Translate long-term platform vision into incremental value for both customers and internal product teams.
Act as the connective tissue between platform architecture and customer-facing products, ensuring developers and enterprise teams alike benefit from reliable, scalable APIs and structured experience models.
Champion domain modeling and partner closely with Architecture, Engineering, and fellow PMs to build scalable, extensible developer surfaces.
Treat platform decisions not as infrastructure, but as product choices that drive business outcomes.
What to expect
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the core platform services provided by your team, powering all Contentful teams.
Apply first-principles reasoning and strong analytical skills to uncover opportunities that unlock efficiency and collaboration for enterprise content teams.
Partner with design and engineering to deliver workflows and governance features that are intuitive and impactful.
Drive discovery to validate customer problems, estimate their potential business impact, and prioritize the most valuable opportunities.
Define clear success metrics, track impact, and adjust course as needed.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success to ensure strong adoption and positioning of your product.
Act as a passionate advocate for enterprise content teams, bringing their perspective into every decision.
What You Need To Be Successful
5+ years experience in B2B Software; preferably with a platform and/or technical product.
Strong ability to reason from first principles and approach complex problems with structured thinking.
Highly analytical, with experience using data to size opportunities, guide decisions, and measure success.
Proven track record of highlighting opportunities for enterprise customers, ideally in domains serving marketing personas.
Customer-obsessed: you start with the user’s problem, not the technical solution, and you relentlessly seek to create value for them.
Excellent communicator who can work effectively with diverse stakeholders — from executives to engineers to end-users.
Technical fluency that helps you collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
Comfortable leading discovery, running interviews, and synthesizing insights into actionable product strategies.
Collaborative, approachable, and eager to contribute to a culture of learning and iteration.
Nice To Have
Experience in content management, digital experience platforms, or enterprise SaaS.
Familiarity with the challenges of large-scale content operations (governance, workflows, localization, etc.).
