About Your New Job As the Quality & Technical Assurance Controller, you will: Maintain and enhance the companys food safety and quality management systems, ensuring continued AA certification to the BRC Global Standard for Agents and Brokers. Manage and update product specifications, quality procedures and records, ensuring full regulatory, customer and internal compliance. Act as a key technical contact for customers and suppliers, responding to queries and providing accurate quality and technical information. Lead investigations into customer complaints, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions. Oversee supplier quality, including supplier non-conformance reports, supplier approval and maintenance of the approved supplier list. Support and participate in customer, standards and regulatory audits, responding to any non-conformances and recommendations. Coordinate product sample analysis, log results and maintain robust traceability. Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and liaise with suppliers and customers as required. Develop strong working knowledge of the ERP (Herbst) system, populating it with relevant quality documentation and supporting ERP improvement projects related to Quality. Contribute to sustainability initiatives, including Origin Green maintenance, renewal and related projects. What Skills You Need To be successful in this role, you will need: A degree in Food Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). At least 3 years experience in the food industry, ideally in a quality/technical role. Strong working knowledge of BRC, GMP and HACCP standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. A positive, enthusiastic attitude and the ambition to grow with the business.
