GP Nurse required at Student Health Centre, Mary Immaculate College, South Circular Road, Limerick V94 VN26Flexible work options available: 30-35 hours per week, 32 weeks per year.8.30am to 4:30pm Monday to FridayNo weekends, no evenings, no nights.Collaborative and friendly work environment.Positive encouragement of diversity and equal opportunity in hiring and promotion.Full wheelchair accessible premises.Key duties:Triage of students presenting at MIC Medical Centre.Immediate medical care to students presenting to MIC Medical Centre.Liaise with doctors regarding urgent cases which cannot wait for routine appointment.Carry out all first aid and dressings.Keep all medical supplies in stock and up to date.Ensure essential vaccines and medication are available and in date.Assist with phlebotomy, taking of swabs, and any other duties considered part of general nursing duties.Consultation with students in relation to contraceptive services and STI prevention.Recording of vital signs and basic medical information prior to student consultation with doctor.Review requests for medical certificates re: absence and review student requests for I-grades.
