Vehicle Mechanic
We are seeking skilled vehicle mechanics to perform various tasks, including vehicle servicing and diagnostics, communicating with parts departments, and ensuring quality work in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Efficiently and accurately complete work as outlined on the job card, adhering to industry standards.
* Communicate with parts department to obtain required parts, inform workshop manager if vehicle is awaiting parts, and pursue special orders if necessary.
* Determine the cause of any malfunction and perform repair after obtaining customer authorization.
* Save and tag all parts for vehicles under warranty or as requested by customers.
* Conduct vehicle health checks to identify additional safety or service work requirements.
* Notify service advisors immediately of needed work, work not required, or repairs that cannot be completed within the promised time frame.
* Test drive vehicles to verify performed work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience, preferably working with high-end vehicles.
* Clear understanding and ability to complete detailed job card write-ups, meeting factory standards for warranty write-ups.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to explain additional work requirements to service advisors or customers.
* Previous experience working with ADP/Kerridge environment is advantageous.
