Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a “Great College to Work For,” invites applications for a temporary, part-time Graduate Assistant to serve the Baseball team beginning August 2025 through May 2026.

The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work as a collaborative member of the Baseball team to carry out the goals and objectives of the Athletics department. The GA will function as an Assistant Coach for Baseball and learn how to coach, build, and develop a successful baseball team. This position will assist in the coordination of practice and game day preparation and have the opportunity to assist with scouting techniques, evaluating prospective student-athletes, compiling scouting reports, and other duties as assigned. The GA will also perform administrative tasks such as managing social media, travel, and equipment.

The GA must comply with NCAA Division III and Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference regulations and is subject to NCAA enforcement provisions for violations.

The position requires an average of 20 hours of service per week during the semester, totaling 300 hours per semester. It provides 100% tuition credit for full-time enrolled students up to 18 credits for the 2025-26 academic year and includes a modest hourly stipend. The position is not eligible for benefits or remote work.


Qualifications

* Current or prospective graduate student at Mount Aloysius College enrolled in a Master’s degree program (Bachelor’s degree required).
* GPA of 3.0 or above as an undergraduate.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a good conduct record.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize tasks, and be self-motivated.
* Collegiate baseball experience preferred.
* Effective communication skills with colleagues, athletes, and recruits.
* Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Graduate assistantships are for one academic year, with renewal dependent on successful completion of the first year.


Preferred Qualifications

* Coaching experience.
* Familiarity with social media platforms and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Knowledge of NCAA Division III and AMCC rules/regulations is a plus.
