This is a challenging role that involves developing and optimizing analytical methods, method validation and transfer according to regulatory guidelines. You will work in a team to ensure the highest quality and productivity standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform analytical testing, data interpretation, and compound characterization with strict adherence to documentation and GMP standards.
">
* Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods; support method transfer for new product introductions.
">
* Troubleshoot analytical and technical issues during development and validation phases.
">
* Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, resolve queries, and deliver projects on time.
">
* Ensure timely delivery of projects while meeting site quality, safety, and technical KPIs.
">
* Review and approve SOPs, lab documentation, investigations, and risk assessments.
">
* Lead and support laboratory investigations, applying scientific rationale and root-cause analysis.
">
* Drive continuous improvement projects and identify efficiency gains in lab operations.
">
* Provide training and mentorship to analysts; ensure equipment and supply readiness.
">
* Promote best practices in compliance, ethical standards, and client service excellence.
">

Requirements:
">
An honours degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is required. At least 5 years experience in an analytical laboratory is preferred.
">
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Method development and Method validation. They will also have experience of the analysis of APIs, raw materials and excipients and the associated analytical techniques that may include chromatographic (HPLC, GC, IC), spectroscopic (IR, LC-MS, ICP-OES, Atomic Absorption), physical properties (particle size analysis) and/or pharmacopoeial testing.

They will be highly proficient in the use of common laboratory instruments and software packages for the above analytical techniques.

The candidate should be experienced in problem solving and have expertise in troubleshooting both analytical equipment and methodology.

A thorough understanding of laboratory procedures is essential. A deep understanding of data integrity and the importance of adopting this guidance when reporting results / everyday work is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will be competent in application of statistical and mathematical tools and formulae. They will be aware of relevant national / international pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.

A thorough understanding of requirements for working in a GMP environment is required. The ability to quickly learn new processes is essential.
