Senior Procurement Category Manager - IT/ICT/Prof Services
I am seeking a
Senior Procurement Category Manager
to lead the procurement of technology goods and professional services in a fast-moving environment.
This is an important leadership role responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, value for money, compliance and supporting and overall digital transformation.
In this role you will:
* Develop and implement long-term strategic category plans for IT.
* Lead and mentor a team in a high-performance culture.
* Drive best practice and continuous improvement across sourcing and procurement activities.
* Be a trusted advisor to stakeholders, delivering value through innovative sourcing strategies.
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
* Create and execute sourcing strategies for IT categories including Software and Professional Services.
* Apply strategic sourcing methodologies such as cost analysis, vendor scorecards, market research, benchmarking, and TCO assessments.
* Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
Risk & Compliance Management
* Ensure adherence to procurement policies, processes, and systems for all IT spend.
* Oversee vendor contract renewals and approvals in line with governance requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
* Provide clear direction, coaching, and development for team members.
* Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance performance.
Stakeholder Management
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and technology leadership teams.
* Influence decision-making through effective communication and strategic insights.
You will bring:
* Degree/Dip in Business, Procurement, ICT/Technology, etc.
* Minimum 10 years' experience in IT Category Management, with 5 years in a team leadership role.
* Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
* Strong communication skills alongside and stakeholder management
