Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Duration: An initial six-month contract with possible extension to one year, flexible working hours considered.
The department of Speech and Language Therapy at Naas General Hospital provides a high-quality service to adults across various acute services including Stroke, Age-related care, Critical care, Respiratory, General Medicine and Surgery.
Main Responsibilities:
* Determine, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing difficulties in adult patients across the hospital's acute medical wards.
* Collaborate closely with the established team of speech therapists.
Essential Qualifications:
* A recognized qualification in Speech & Language Therapy with CORU registration.
* Experience in Dysphagia treatment is highly desirable.
Senior Grade Requirements:
* A minimum of three years' experience in an acute setting, following postgraduate studies.
* Videofluoroscopy, tracheostomy, and/or FEES experience is an advantage but not essential.
Mentorship and Support: A strong focus on supervision and mentorship within the team.
