Facilities Operations Specialist Role Summary
This role is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage the safe and efficient operation of facilities systems within our organization. As a Facilities Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with auditing and safety standards, as well as managing site facilities throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Owning and controlling the site's facilities systems to deliver compliant systems capable of safe and continuous supplies to all points and users without interruption or impact.
2. Overseeing the timely completion of system work orders and resolving issues if required, while ensuring compliance.
3. Assisting with the continuous and reliable supply of facilities systems across the site.
4. Planning and scheduling system repair and maintenance activities.
5. Supporting audits on the Facility and associate Compliance/Safety programs.
6. Point of contact for Facility-related queries.
7. Managing all Facilities contracts and contractors.
8. Maintaining a review process for contracts, including Cleaning & Bundled Services, Integrated Security Systems, Catering, Kitchen Equipment, Site Security, Adverse Weather Services, Landscaping, Foul and Storm Drains, Pest Control, Roof Systems, Phones/Radios, Lifts, Gowning, ATEX Forklift, Cold Rooms, etc.
9. Liaising with Support/Maintenance contractors.
10. Reviewing and approving Facility system modifications, change requests, and SOPs.
11. Conducting walk-downs/review of Facility installations and attending Factory/Site Acceptance Tests as required.
12. Identifying, building, and implementing Facility system training across the site, complete assigned training, and identify gaps/opportunities for further training.
13. Own and oversee the complete Facility system data build for the site.
14. Developing and championing continuous improvement programs that increase the performance and reliability of Facility equipment and systems.
15. Developing mechanisms for monitoring, trending, and reporting all Facility equipment and systems performance.
16. Providing SME insight and technical leadership to the engineering, production, and support areas.
17. Conducting analysis of Bad Actors and driving a program to improve reliability of equipment.
18. Management and control of associated site Facilities Operational Budgets, control, and update procedures for all site Facilities.
19. Ensuring that all Maintenance Technicians are adequately trained in the test methods and procedures that they will be required to follow in the performance of their duties.
20. Supporting Engineering Projects, Validation, Warehouse, QC/QA, Operations, and other departments on all Facilities Projects/Issues.
21. Project work with regard to specification, scope definition, budget preparation, detailed engineering design, purchasing, inspection, validation, installation, and commissioning of all new facilities and buildings.
22. Responsible for site insurance compliance, control, and monitoring safe working practices.
23. Participating in risk assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, etc., and implementing and following up related CAPAs.
24. Leading Deviation investigations within the department.
25. Using Lean Six Sigma tools to drive root cause analysis and CAPA completion.
26. Ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, Environmental Regulatory, and Corporate requirements.
27. Supporting safety and environmental programs.
28. Adhering to safe working practices as set out in the Safety Statement and other company safety rules.
29. Performing all duties in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs, and controlled documents.
30. Being flexible to take on additional tasks and responsibilities at the discretion of the Facilities Associate Director.
31. Acting as a role model for the Engineering function and also the wider organization in adherence to the corporate core values and PROUD culture.
