Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.
The role involves office-based work with regular site visits throughout Ireland.
You will support the commercial function on various construction projects, working closely with senior QS staff and project managers to ensure accurate cost control, efficient procurement, and financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
* To prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
* To support the measurement and valuation of works on-site
* To attend site meetings and liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* To assist in procurement, including obtaining and comparing subcontractor quotes
* To track project variations, record keeping, and change control
* To support the preparation of interim applications for payment and final accounts
* To assist in cost reporting and commercial forecasting
* To ensure compliance with company procedures and contract terms
* To conduct regular site visits across Ireland to monitor progress and verify valuations
* To maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field
* 5 years' relevant experience
* 2 years relevant experience with the same company
* Willingness to travel to project sites across Ireland
* Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying software
* Full clean driving licence
