Pension & Group Risk Consultant
Our client is a leading consultancy in employee benefits and private wealth management, supporting corporate clients from SMEs to large multinationals on the management of corporate pension and risk schemes.
An excellent opportunity has arisen within their Group Insured Pensions team for an experienced Consultant. This is a key client-facing role requiring a confident, organised, and technically strong professional with proven experience in pensions and group risk consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of corporate pension and risk clients.
* Ensure strong scheme governance and full regulatory compliance across the portfolio.
* Handle queries from client companies, trustees, members, and related stakeholders (e.g., accountants, investment managers).
* Support the design, restructuring, and implementation of pension and group risk schemes.
* Deliver retirement planning and member engagement strategies.
* Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Work closely with insurers, service providers, and internal teams to enhance processes and improve outcomes.
* Serve as a trusted partner to Group and Corporate clients, supporting day-to-day administration and ensuring exceptional service standards.
* Represent the consultancy at client meetings, employee clinics, trustee meetings, and industry events.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role within a pensions consultancy or insurer.
* Proven client and portfolio management capability.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads independently.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
* Collaborative team player with the ability to lead and influence others.
* In-depth knowledge of pensions legislation and regulatory requirements.
* QFA and/or IIPM qualifications required.
* Full, clean driving licence essential.
