Facilitator, Visitor Engagement Team Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) is seeking a Facilitator to join our Visitor Engagement Team on a six-month, part-time, fixed-term contract.
Contract: 6-month, fixed-term, part-time (10 days over a 4-week roster, including two weekends) Salary: €38,560 Location: IMMA, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin 8 About the Role As a Facilitator, you will be part of the front-line team responsible for creating a positive and engaging visitor experience.
You will provide information about exhibitions and programmes, assist with tours and workshops, and support learning and engagement initiatives.
The role also involves helping to coordinate school tours, group visits, and events, while maintaining a safe and accessible environment for all visitors.
This is a rostered role, which includes weekend work (two weekends per four-week period).
Key Responsibilities Engage proactively with visitors, ensuring IMMA is experienced as an open and welcoming space.
Provide clear, accurate, and engaging information on exhibitions, artworks, and IMMAs programmes.
Support the delivery of educational and engagement programmes, tours, and workshops.
Assist in managing group visits, including school tours and private events.
Promote IMMAs membership, publications, and digital resources.
Collaborate with colleagues across Engagement, Learning, and Security teams to ensure the safety, accessibility, and enjoyment of all visitors.
Gather and share visitor feedback to help improve the museums services.
Skills and Experience Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in customer service, visitor engagement, or educational facilitation.
Background or strong interest in the arts - whether through previous experience or education in fine art, art education, pottery, art teaching, or related creative disciplines.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to respond calmly in a busy visitor-facing environment.
