Post **** - Hospital Services Operator Dublin(NBC) Post **** Hospital Services Operator Hospital Services Department Full Time Permanent National Blood Centre The IBTS is currently recruiting a full-time, permanent Hospital Services Operator based in the Hospital Services Department, National Blood Centre.
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor the purpose of the role includes: The selection and issuing of blood and medicinal products.
General upkeep of the Hospital Services and Production areas; to include cleaning, daily/weekly checks of equipment and replacement of consumable stocks.
The processing of whole blood and platelet apheresis donations Using customer service communication skills to deal with various customers and stakeholders Service operates 24/7 on shift basis.
Essential Criteria: Leaving certificate or equivalent Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team Good attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Computer literacy with good keyboard skills Desirable Criteria: Experience in a GMP environment/ completed a relevant course in GMP such as Higher Certificate in GMP and Technology Experience in a Pharmaceutical / Warehousing / Hospital Services / Operative Role The salary scale attached to the post is the Medical Laboratory Aide scale €41,117 to 48,064 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum.
Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience.

Citizen Requirements Eligible candidates must be:
a) A citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA) EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
b) A citizen of United Kingdom (UK)
c) A citizen of Switzerland in regards to the agreement between the EU and Switzerland on the movement of people
d) A non-EEA citizen who has a stamp 4 visa
e) A person awarded international protection under the International Protection Act ****, or any family member entitled to remain in the State as a result of family reunification and has a stamp 4 visa or
f) A non-EEA citizen who is a parent of a dependant child who is a citizen of and resident in an EEA member state if the UK or Switzerland and has a stamp 4 visa.
To qualify candidates must meet one of the citizenship criteria above and produce formal supporting evidence of same, by the date of any job offer.
