Siemens Healthineers is recruiting Customer Service Engineers to be based in the Dublin (x1) and Cork (x1) areas to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of medical diagnostic equipment and address customer support issues promptly and professionally. This is a field-based role with significant requirement to work at customer sites, mainly in the Leinster region for the Dublin role and in the Munster & Connaught regions for the Cork role but sometimes in other areas of Ireland.
What are my responsibilities?
1. Work in cooperation with the Customer Care Centre to carry out service, maintenance, updates, and installation of Siemens Healthineers products within your designated product range and assist under supervision with other products.
2. Provide out of hours technical service support and complete individual mandatory weekend working provision, when applicable.
3. Attend product training courses (in Ireland and abroad) and work toward completion of Siemens Professional Certificate to build competence in providing technical assistance and support to customers.
4. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of team processes.
5. Maintain good communication and teamwork with all Managers and Colleagues.
6. Escalate situations where customer satisfaction is compromised or contractual obligations are unlikely to be met.
7. Understand and comply with Siemens work instructions, quality policy, codes of conduct, and regulatory requirements at all times.
8. Ensure material parts are processed in accordance with policy.
9. Complete personal administration in a timely and accurate manner.
10. Maintain all test equipment, tools, and company property in good and working order.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
1. 3rd level qualification at or equivalent to NFQ level 7 in Electronics or Electrical discipline. Applicants with NFQ Level 6 qualification with relevant experience will also be considered.
2. This is a field-based role offering considerable independence.
3. Previous field service experience with fault finding on electronic equipment is preferred. Strong IT, Microsoft Office, and Networking Infrastructure skills are required.
4. Excellent customer-facing skills are invaluable, as you will interface with customers and staff at all levels within Siemens / Third parties, contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
5. You must hold a full driving license valid for driving in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Additional Information:
* A flexible approach to travel, providing out of hours technical support, and working planned weekends and evenings is required.
* Attendance at training courses and technical seminars in Ireland and abroad will also be required.
* Candidates can expect to spend circa 4 hours traveling each day.
