Senior Windows System Engineer - 12 month day rate contract
Job Description
Our client, a large enterprise organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Windows Systems Engineer to support and enhance a complex Microsoft infrastructure environment spanning multiple tenants and a large user base. The successful candidate will play a key role in modern workplace technologies, identity management, cloud services, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
Job Responsibilities
Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments across multiple tenants within a large-scale enterprise setting
Manage and maintain Entra ID environments, including identity lifecycle management and access governance
Configure and support Microsoft Teams, including Enterprise Voice capabilities and collaboration services
Design, implement, and maintain Conditional Access Policies and identity security controls
Support Exchange Online administration, mail flow management, and tenant configuration
Assist with tenant onboarding activities, migrations, and cross-tenant integrations
Manage endpoint solutions through Microsoft Intune, including device compliance and configuration policies
Support SharePoint Online administration and collaboration platform governance
Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to ensure secure identity and access management, including hybrid/on-premises integrations
Contribute to security and compliance initiatives across Microsoft cloud platforms
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
Support Azure-based infrastructure services and related cloud platform technologies
Experience Required
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a senior Microsoft infrastructure or systems engineering role
Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments
Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale Microsoft collaboration and productivity platforms
Experience with identity and access management in hybrid cloud environments
Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance within Microsoft ecosystems
Experience managing multi-tenant environments and migration projects
Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to work independently within fast-paced enterprise environments
Experience with Microsoft Purview and compliance tooling
Exposure to Azure infrastructure technologies, Azure Arc, or hybrid cloud services
Knowledge of B2B and B2C identity solutions
Experience with enterprise voice and telephony solutions within Microsoft Teams
Familiarity with automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code concepts
Previous experience operating within highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
Educational Requirements
Third-level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous
