Role Purpose
As Part-Time Cleaner at Dame Street Dental Hospital, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our practice. This position is essential to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff, ensuring we uphold the 5-star standards we strive to offer every patient.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and disinfect all clinical and non-clinical areas, including reception, waiting areas, treatment rooms, restrooms, and staff areas
* Ensure waste is disposed of correctly, including clinical waste in accordance with healthcare regulations
* Replenish cleaning supplies and report stock levels to management
* Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists consistently
* Adhere strictly to infection control and health & safety protocols
* Provide occasional support during deep cleaning sessions
* Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly
* Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff
Experience
Requirements - Skills & Competencies
* Previous cleaning experience (healthcare setting preferred, but not essential)
* Understanding of infection control practices is an advantage
* Experience working independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to follow established protocols and procedures
* Knowledge of cleaning products and their safe use
* Understanding of health and safety regulations
