A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for a Senior Occupational Therapist (Paediatric Mental Health) - ADHD Clinic. The clinician will be responsible for delivering nonpharmacological management and intervention to children and young people aged 6 - 16 years who present with mild to moderate challenges associated with ADHD alongside a full multidisciplinary team. Provide individual and group interventions which will include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment programmes tailoring interventions for specific ages and or/presenting difficulties. Operate within the scope of Occupational Therapy practice within Ireland and in accordance with Vhi standards & guidelines. Education & Experience Registered as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. Three years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience. Experience in community based mental health services. Experience of developing, applying and reviewing an evidence-based approach to decision making. Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values. Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills. Exceptional planning and time management skills to effectively prioritises tasks and can manage multiple complex tasks. Ability to analyse and interpret data to measure success of health and wellness initiatives. Demonstrate clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice appropriate to carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the role in line with relevant legislation and standards. Demonstrate evidence of having applied / used appropriate assessment tools and treatments and a knowledge of the implications of outcomes for service users.
