Job Title
A seasoned mechanical engineer is required to lead a busy team providing design and technical services on various project types, including science laboratories in Industrial, Healthcare and Third Level Education projects.
Job Responsibilities:
* Conceptualize and develop design studies for laboratory based HVAC systems, pressure cascades, and specialist gases.
* Prepare sketches, reports, and specifications for mechanical design including building analysis, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
* Review and mentor junior engineers' design work, ensuring adherence to industry standards and codes of practice.
* Estimate and control costs on projects, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
* Coordinate work with design teams, architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
* Chartered or progressing towards chartership as a Mechanical Engineer.
* Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in a consultancy environment, with expertise in laboratory based HVAC systems and pressure cascades.
* Excellent understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice, industry standards, and relevant codes of practice.
* Strong leadership and time management skills, with ability to work in a BIM environment and Revit.
