Roles and Responsibilities
The Contracts Manager is responsible for delivering the commercial, schedule, quality and safety of projects assigned, aligned with the company's and client's expectations.
* Deliver projects assigned by senior management in the Nordics and Europe.
* Oversee all project staff and operations.
* Ensure adequate resourcing of contracts with trained operatives and quality suppliers.
* Implement group policies and procedures and ensure adherence.
* Report project performance to the General Manager and Managing Director.
* Maintain strong customer relations with frequent site visits, progress updates and issue resolution.
* Review and improve project delivery effectiveness by implementing company-led improvement projects.
Contracts Manager Duties Include
* Implement the company's safety, quality, schedule and project management processes on projects.
* Oversee site operations, ensuring processes are implemented and adhered to.
* Monitor and control project budgets/margins with senior management monthly.
* Ensure contracts are correctly mobilised and planned with clear scope.
* Uphold "right first time" culture in safety and quality, verifying QA checks and sign-offs.
* Support EHS by preparing safety paperwork and monitoring practices via toolbox talks, inspections and equipment checks.
* Maintain site records and substantiations in the job file.
* Capture progress and variation information for accurate reporting.
* Maintain a highly motivational work environment, engaging all staff.
* Provide feedback to senior management on performance and inform of issues as they arise.
* Support implementation of company-led improvement projects at the work front.
Requirements and Skills
* Capable in planning and project budgeting.
* Knowledge of project management processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, design, site operations).
* Excellent communication skills.
* High performing organisational and leadership skills.
* Problem‑solving aptitude.
* 5+ years’ experience in fire protection design & build businesses.
* Relevant qualifications in project and construction programme management.
