Roles & Responsibilities
· To support the Manager and the staff to work in accordance with the policies and procedures of the service and to ensure their practices within the room are in accordance with these.
· To deputize for the manager in her absence.
· Excellent communication, record keeping and I.T Skills and the ability to use the Pobal I.T system. (PIP & HIVE)
· To ensure observations and records of individual children's progress are maintained and that children's needs and interests identified through staff observations are reflected in planning.
· Ensure the health, safety, and development needs of the children on our care are always met.
· To promote and maintain positive relationships with all Staff, Parents, and the Board of Management.
· To motivate and support the staff team.
· Essential Criteria
· A minimum of FETAC Level 6 in childcare level 7 or 8 is desirable
· A minimum of 3 years work experience in a childcare setting
· Excellent communication, record keeping and I.T Skills and a good working knowledge of the Relevant I.T systems.
· A commitment to ongoing professional development.
