We’re looking for an experienced Application Production Support Engineer to join a fast‑moving, collaborative team.
The Role
We are looking for a well‑rounded, application/production support engineer to liaise between external vendors, end users and technology teams to provide oversight and stability within a production environment.
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in supporting complex investment management platforms and applications, including front‑office investment systems, business support applications, and complex back‑office data management and automation platforms. The team is responsible for monitoring batch processes, completing overnight checks, troubleshooting, communicating, and escalating production issues. The technology stack includes database, API, batch, ETL and web applications. The system is transitioning to the cloud.
Candidates will be required to work rotating Irish hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM / 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Support complex investment management platforms and applications, monitor batch processes, complete overnight checks.
Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ensure system availability by identifying, escalating, and troubleshooting issues.
Support business requests throughout the day.
Understand software development lifecycle and follow company processes and standards.
Work on independent small projects to support and improve the system.
Keep up to date with new technology developments and implementations.
Ensure SLAs are met to customer expectations.
Collect metrics to drive continuous process improvements.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience
Experience in a support role, ideally within investment management.
Technical fluency to use software coding skills to automate manual processes (Python preferred).
Ability to modify existing code for minor bug fixes/enhancements (Java/Python).
Experience with MS SQL Server, SQL database query and reporting.
Experience working in UNIX environments.
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau / Power BI).
Experience with enterprise scheduling/workflow software (AutoSys preferred).
Fluency in using modern monitoring tools (e.g. DynaTrace, Splunk).
Exposure to Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Test Management for JIRA).
Experience supporting cloud‑hosted applications.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize and work in a deadline‑oriented environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Ability to relate experience to current events to resolve problems or generate new ideas.
Process‑oriented with strong attention to detail and follow‑up ethic.

Familiarity with finance / investment management data domains.
Experience with SAFe Agile framework.
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
