Clinical Nurse Specialist Role
Brothers of Charity Services Ireland Limerick Region are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their team. This permanent full-time post requires applicants to have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience in the Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) division and hold a Level 9 or higher award relevant to the specialist area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and support to adults with intellectual disability and behaviour support needs, while also demonstrating continuing professional development relevant to the specialist area.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Essential:
o Be a Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) on the live Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais Na hÉireann (NMBI).
o Have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience in the RNID division of the register.
o Hold a Level 9 or higher award relevant to the specialist area, as certified by the education provider which verifies that the applicant has achieved a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 9 or higher award that is relevant to the specialist area of care.
* Desirable:
o Demonstrate fluent oral and written English with good presentation skills.
o Have the ability to practice safely and effectively the core concepts of the CNS role.
o Have a full Irish Driver License as travel within Limerick city and the county is required.

Candidates must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
A thorough understanding of the Positive Behaviour Support framework and related evidence approaches is essential for this role.
